Barwon Academy of Arms was created by Melbourne Swordplay Guild in 2019 to branch out into Geelong

Barwon Academy of Arms temporary closed in response to Covid 19, when we were able to have larger gatherings again we started having classes at Ripple side park affectionately calling it snags and swords.

Once we were able to reopen again, BAA stated to attend more public events such as Kardinia Festival of Sport. We started to host events of our own such as our Bawron Cup and Stabby Cup tournaments along with hosting a free introduction class in the celebration of international Women’s day in 2025
